Southern African Pyrometallurgy 2006 International Conference

Cradle of Humankind, South Africa, 5-8 March 2006

Conference Venue

The conference is to be held at Glenburn Lodge in the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, about 40km north west of Johannesburg. Accommodation has been secured at the conference venue for a number of delegates. This will be made available on a first-come first-served basis. A number of other hotels are available in the area, for those delegates who prefer to make their own arrangements. Some recommended hotels are:

• Glenburn Lodge, at the foot of the Swartkops mountains
• Kloofzicht Lodge, on the banks of the Blaauwbank River
• Aloe Ridge Hotel, alongside the Swartkops mountains

The conference banquet is planned to be held at Maropeng, a brand-new development that was opened to the public in December 2005.

Wireless Internet access will be made available (at no additional charge) in the conference area, from about 6am to 10pm every day.
